The aloe vera plant may not be very attractive at first glance, and its thorns may look menacing, but it's not the outside that counts... it's the inside. The fleshy leaves of the aloe plant contain a gel rich in nutrients, active enzymes, vitamins, minerals, and amino acids. It's no surprise, then, that aloe vera gel has been used for thousands of years to treat a wide variety of skin problems and conditions.
But aside from applying it directly to your skin, how else can you reap the benefits of aloe vera? The experts at CAUDABIO have created seven aloe vera face mask recipes that harness the power of this well-known plant. Flawless skin, here we come!

- Preventing skin rashes
- Hydrate
- Tone tired skin

- Aloe vera gel
- Basil
- Indian lilac (optional)
Recipe :
- For this recipe, you'll need to grind a handful of basil and a handful of Indian lilac before blending them together. If you can buy the leaves already ground, that would be ideal. The easiest way to do this yourself is with a mortar and pestle. If you don't have these tools, place the leaves in the palm of your hand and press them together with your thumb, using a rotating motion. This helps release the essential oils in the leaves.

- Stir until the water is absorbed.
- Pour 1 tablespoon of aloe vera gel.
- Mix until the gel covers all the plant material.
How to apply it:
- Start by washing your face and neck with warm water and an oil-free cleanser to remove makeup and open pores.
- Spread the aloe vera gel, along with the leaves, on the skin of your face, neck and décolleté.
- Let the mask dry for fifteen minutes. Be careful, the leaves may tend to fall off as the aloe dries.
- Rinse your face first with lukewarm water, then with cold water to tighten pores.
- Dry your skin with a soft towel.
